Move #n

Umm…. I don’t know what number we’re on. We “moved” again yesterday to another house sitting situation. One of the volunteers, Lenny, headed down to Arizona with her mom, so we’re holding down the fort….. With her two donkeys, two sheep, and three dogs. Plus our one dog and three frogs. Fun stuff. :p

So this place is amazing…. A farm, of course. I love it. We’ve got her three dogs to take care of: Thor, Lily, and Minnie (who incidentally is the biggest). Also the two donkeys: Little Jake and Agustina, who is pregnant. Last but not least we’ve got Bummer and Cupid, the two sheep. Also along for the ride are Retnuh (my dog), and Tad, Polly, and Pog (or Pogwog), our frogs that we got at one of the Thursday morning story times at the library. The person who plans it brought in Tadpoles and gave them out, so we got a few. :)

So obviously we’re overrun with critters here, and of course I’m loving it! The donkeys are ADORABLE! The dogs are getting along pretty well, though Minnie and Ret will bark at each other, and Thor growls at Ret sometimes.

We also set up Wireless here, so all is well. :) Lenny said we can stay as long as we need to, so this may be our last move until the real deal! With Ret around and such a beautiful place, I don’t mind a bit.

Well, I think we may need to be getting the sheep and donkeys bedded down for the night pretty quick. So I guess that’s it for now.

“Bored” meeting

My mom is at a board meeting right now, so I’m using the internets! :D At the library, of course.

Our house (the one in CG) had its inspection today, and it passed with flying colors! Which is VERY good news! :)

Besides that, not much…..

Oh yeah! I got new rollerblades on Sunday! Really nice ones. :) And I really need to find alternate ways to brake, other than falling down.
But anyway, I tried on two different ones, and decided right away that I didn’t like the second ones I tried….. Right away was when I realized I couldn’t get it off…. My mom couldn’t get it off…. And the sales rep couldn’t get it off. I was trapped!
Fortunately my mom figured it out while the sales rep was getting another person to help……. Then it felt weird to be free…. But a good weird. :p

Now I just have to learn to use my blades well…. Mainly in the stopping department.

If you want to make God laugh tell Him your plans

My mom and I found a piece of paradise. A little lot (less than an acre) in the country. Not only that…. It’s river front! It has a cute little cabin, great plot of land…. A piece of paradise. We made an offer, but the seller countered. We countered back with as high as we could afford, but weren’t expecting to get it…… Resigned ourselves to living in town. We tried, but maybe it wasn’t the right time……

WRONG!!!!!

The seller accepted our offer! :) My mom called our realtor today and was talking about flood insurance, then she said it doesn’t really matter because the person wouldn’t accept anyway…. Our realtor responded with “Actually, she just did.”
YAY! It surprised us both, but we’re excited!

We…. Got… An…. OFFER! :)

And the open house hasn’t even started yet!

My mom is talking to our realtor in Creswell now… We may look at some other houses that sound nice (my mom just told me about a cabin on the river……. :D ), but either way…. We can make an offer!!!!!

Poco Loco

So my mom and I are house+dog sitting for a few weeks… This way they have someone to take care of the dog and we have someplace to stay down here. I haven’t mentioned it yet, but we’re in the process of moving. My mom has a job in a town just south of Eugene, and we live just west of Salem. If you don’t know Oregon, that’s a LONG commute. Only 1-2 hours, but that’s plenty long.
We’re taking care of this great little dog though. Her name is Poco. She’s so sweet. And even though I have to make her take 5 pills a day, she still likes me, I think. She’s been really good though. Even though she’s pretty sick. All the things we’ve heard about (vomiting, etc.) are yet to happen. My mom and I each thought she died yesterday (at different times) but she’s doing fine. I just held for a litle bit, and she’s been wandering around a lot this morning. She still hides a lot, but she’ll come out to be held for a little while too.
I should probably get back to homework pretty quick. I stole my mom’s computer so I could do so… I left my AC adapter at Kento’s apartment so now I can’t use my computer…. Oops. But my mom is at work, so that’s fine.
Back to homework now.
