It’s going to the doctor…
My poor Mac wont run off of AC anymore. So today it will be sent to the Mac Store in Lake Oswego to get fixed up…. Well, it’ll probably be sent off tomorrow. But it goes to Corvallis first, so you know what I mean…

Because I’m easily amused, especially after knowing I only have one midterm left in the term and it’s chem and it’s not until week 8.
I didn’t have Japanese today (Oral exam day, but I had mine yesterday), so I got to sleep in. That was REALLY nice. And of course that meant I went straight to work this morning.
I was scootering past the parking garage, when I heard a bird fly over me. I paused to see what it was, and much to my happiness, I think I IDed it…..
An acorn woodpecker!
It landed on a power pole (they LOVE power poles), and I could see the little red head…. So cute! Then I saw another on top of the pole!
That sure made me happy. I haven’t seen an acorn woodpecker since Arizona!
I need to make a scooter icon later.
But I fell down again. It was just a soft fall on smooth cement, so I just got a bit wet…. But my jeans have a small tear. I need to go to Goodwill and get more jeans, I guess. I’m gonna see about fixing these, because they’re my favorite pair.
Last Tuesday I crashed my scooter for the first time. I was on my way to chem lab, and had to swerve to miss a biker by GBAD… And ended up off the sidewalk. I think part of it was that I was still sick, but I thought I caught myself, fell to my knees, thought I caught myself again, was on my hands… Then my face. It was a very interesting fall. But I had no lasting marks, so all was well.
Today I wasn’t so lucky. Wheels+crack+speed=crash. Wheels got caught in a crack in the sidewalk… I was on the ground before I knew what hit me. My knee took a nice blow. A hole in the jeans, and a 1″ diameter circle of scrape and blood. I went ahead and scootered *slowly* to the office to see if they had any bandages…. But they only had tiny ones. Well, normal size… But tiny in comparison. So I was given a disposable computer cleaning thing and some electrical tape… And headed to the health center. They patched me up and all was well again. Though it still kinda stings. And my jeans are sad. Oh well.
