It’s been an interesting day.
I got fillings for the first time. A lot of them…. But most were small, so they only had to numb one tooth. It took a while, but it wasn’t a bad experience…. No big deal. First time I had anesthetic though, I think….
Fortunately I’ve been graced with good dentists my entire life (including now! Dr. Little is great), so I have never had that aversion to dentists that a lot of people have… I like dentists, they’re cool.
Then I went to Petco… Then I realized I left my debit card at home *STUPID!*. Well, that’s OK, I have my credit! Another *STUPID!* moment, not realizing I didn’t need the PIN for my credit (which I could only vaguely remember). Once I realized I didn’t, things were OK.
I went to Winco…. Saw the BIGGEST Jojo potato I’ve ever seen. Almost the size of a corn dog, I kid you not. A bit longer than a corn dog, but thinner. And Kento, the ones at Pizza Caboose don’t count.
Then I found out Winco doesn’t take credit…. Grand.
They had an ATM, so I tried *again* to remember my PIN…. I remembered the first number, two of the others (not in order) and had a rough idea of the other number…. Needless to say, I thought they were going to lock my account or something.
But I was buying hot food, I couldn’t just put it back…. So after walking around the store thinking, I tried again.
Somehow, miraculously, I got it! It was truly a miraculous event. I started laughing. It was a little awkward. But oh well.

Bear in mind they were supposed to be gone nearly 2 months ago….
But they’re gone.
Sometime in the past hour, I think, the Westie boards were disabled.
I find myself going back, to see if they’re there. I know they wont be. I know they wont come back.
These things will pass.
We have the transitions for now….
I’m kicking myself for not backing up today. Last time I updated my archives was 2 weeks ago….
It could have been worse.

My scooter came today!
I went for a ride! Up the road east of Coleman Field, along Jefferson, down Sackett Ave. by West Dining Center, then around to 30th. I stopped at West for dinner, then rode back.
It wasn’t very far, but I forgot how good of a workout scootering is.
My right leg will have to get used to it… The left does OK with the kicking. :p But I want to train myself to kick with right and support with left too… I kind of can now, but don’t have very good balance when I do.

But I’ll be thankful, because it could have been worse… *sigh*
It’s never good to start the day with a nightmare. That’s something that hasn’t happened in a while, but at about 6:20 I woke up after dreaming that I was outside at home, and there was this random lady on our property that came and knocked me out with a giant pot. Kind of funny in retrospect, but sure freaked me out at the time.
Realizing my alarm would be going off shortly, I willed myself to go ahead and wake up. I didn’t actually get up until maybe 6:35, but I went ahead and woke up.
Then at 7:45 I left for chem. Which of course was pretty good. Nafshun did the soda and mentos thing, which of course was awesome.
But then I went to work… I think today was the day to be the bearer of bad news. First I had to call a guy about a file we couldn’t recover. Then I delivered a computer, which wasn’t bad… And we *hopefully* fixed another person’s problem too.
Then I had to make someone mad. It’s never fun to tell someone you wont support something they want to do. It’s even less fun when they get mad about it.
So yeah, this morning wasn’t too grand.
Then to Japanese, which was alright. Nothing special.
Back to work… This shift wasn’t too bad. Most of the time I was working on fixing up our student app. But I did have to go pick up a computer to be rebuilt. Oh well.
And then to calc, which was boring. Of course. At least we’re getting into the rules on solving indefinite integrals now! It’s kinda like solving derivatives, but backwards.
Solving derivatives was my favorite part last term, and I can think backwards.
Oddly enough, I also appear to be better at mental math then my prof…. OK, (10×20)/2 really isn’t that hard…. It’s just 10×10…. Oh well.
I went to the library afterwards to do my FW library assignment. It was really easy, once I figured out that the 1st floor was downstairs…. Before that… I just felt dumb.
Then I came back to my dorm, and that would be the worst part of the day… When I hear of the sick heartless act in Virginia. It’s not like me to turn off the news during a big story… It’s the “journalist” I get from my dad, I guess… But I couldn’t watch.

I’m a big fan of cranberry juice. For a while I was drinking it every day. I’m kind of getting back into that again.
But it used to be the cranberry juice they sold was 100% juice.
They changed it, and now we’re only getting 27% juice!
Why is it that they change from better to worse? Isn’t it usually the other way around? I want my 100% juice back!

I might get a scooter this week. I’ve been wanting one for, well, years…. But recently in the past few weeks I’ve been craving a ride on a scooter. Can’t explain why, but hey. Electric scooters look really cool, but I don’t plan on getting one until at least next school year…. The Razor Pro kick scooter is awesome though, and I may be ordering one as soon as Wednesday.
In other news, the FW club meeting tonight was cool. And I have a study buddy for calc now. :p And what else? Well, not much. Oh well.

Ah, Easter. So much fun. So much goodness. It’s a happy holiday, that’s for sure!
So my mom picked me up about noon, and we went to my grandma’s. After the exchanging of things gotten for each other during spring break, we sat down to dinner.
Dinner was delicious, as usual. Rolls, ham, squash, fruit salad, potato salad, deviled eggs…. Yes, I did eat squash! I’ve grown rather fond of that baked squash my grandma makes….. Amazing! Must be all the brown sugar.
After dinner, the adults went out and hid eggs. Kento hid eggs this year…. So the 4 of us younger kids (that is two 16, one 14, and I think Sammy is around 10…) went egg hunting! Much fun, of hunting over 200 eggs. I think the count was 275-ish, though we question the accuracy of that count, since our final count left over 30 eggs unaccounted for.
The hunt was great, of course. Kento twisted the rules this year, and hid some on the bus (yes, there’s a school bus at my grandma’s house… That’s probably another story for another time). He hinted to us enough to look though, so we got them.
At the final count, I had 80 eggs. I will indeed be sharing that candy… More candy than I’ll ever know what to do with. I think my strategy of heading in the opposite direction of everyone else (get to clear the area first!) worked for me.
Although the others did about as well, so I don’t feel bad.
After the hunt we went in and had pie! Grandma made a plain cream pie, my favorite!
There was also coconut cream and chocolate… I was all about the cream though.
Yum!
After eating pie we did the traditional opening of eggs, singing whenever we found a peep…. Yes, my family is weird. Isn’t it great?
Then we hung out and talked. I decided later that we needed to finish off the deviled eggs (actually, it was that deviled eggs sounded really good… But everyone else seemed to agree, so they disappeared fast).
Also, my mom and I laughed hysterically about a “catch-and-release bug catching system”. It was very very funny, but you probably had to be there for it to be quite as funny as we thought it was……
Finally we had to head out…. And now here I am. Planning to write up some Spring Break stuff tonight…. And hopefully clean my room, at least a little!

So I just finished tagging every single one of these posts…. All 300+ of them. Crazy.
Well, except for the ones that didn’t fit into a tag category. Whatever.
Anyway, I’ll probably be going through and making some changes and stuff…. But first I still need to write up the rest of Spring Break, and annotate the images.
And survive term, of course. I’ve got my 17 credits, and I think I ended up being scheduled for 16.5 hours at work.
So I have plenty to keep me busy. I’m glad it’s the weekend. Easter weekend!
I’m totally excited for the EEH, Extreme Egg Hunt!

How dare I be tired already?
But really, here I am back in the roll of things… Term has started, and it’s already proving to be an exhausting term. We lost quite a few people at work this term… Down from 8 students to 5, and Jerod is gone too. And it seems like we all have the exact same schedule… I don’t know. We’ll make it work.
Of course I’m also taking 17 credits. That ends up averaging at about 3 classes a day, so that’s not too bad. It would be nice if those 17 credits didn’t transalte to 20.5 hours of class a week though…. Although that includes chem recitation which I probably wont go to, and chem lab which probably wont take the 2 hours it’s scheduled for.
It’s been kind of hard getting back into things… I had such a great time last week (yes, I am still working on posting about it, I’ll get it done though!), and I don’t want to be back yet. I find myself missing being around people, which hasn’t happened much this year. And last night, much to my surprise, I felt claustrophobic. I was walking through the hall, and suddenly realized they’re really small. And I felt rather stifled, being inside. I felt that way a few times today too. I can’t wait to move out of the dorms…..
So here I am, Spring term 2007. The last term of 06-07, my first full-time year. I lost my 4.0 (got an A- in Japanese, but that’s way better than I expected, so I’m not complaining!). I’m a sophomore now. I’m sick and tired of living in the dorms. I’m ready for summer.
But at the same time, I dread summer. A lot of people are graduating, and I’ll miss them. I’ll miss OSU. I’ll miss the club. But I need to go home and get stuff done. Get my driver’s license, mostly. And get Ret. But man, I’ll miss OSU!
I got 2 months before that though… And though it’ll be a rough term, it’s going to be a good term. I wont let the busyness hold me down. If I can remember that, I’m good to go.
